Beloved I thought this teaching was so amazing on the parsha Balak that I had to share it with you. It is lengthy. But I beg you to read it till the end, it is that important. Click on the blue link under the main title.
I will leave you with a poem that is on the wall of my office that ties in with the portion. Enjoy infusing your preparations for Shabbat into your week! It is all about the preparation. Shabbat is a gift that HaShem has given us to help us prepare for the World to Come. What am awasome G*D we serve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A NEW DAY
This is the beginning of a new day
G*D has given me this day to use as I will
I can waste it or use it for good
But what I do today is important
Because I am exchanging a day of my life for it
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever
Leaving in its place something I have traded for it
I want it to be gain and not loss
Good, and not evil, success, and not failure
In order that I shall not regret the price
I have paid for it.*
*Forgive me I don't know the author.
Rest in Him this Shabbat and see that the L*RD is good.
Emunah, Shalom, and Ahavah, Elizabeth
