A Mother's Day Prayer, A Mother's Day Tribute

I am blessed to have two lovely daughters Courtney and Kara each special and unique in their own way. They grew me up and made me a much better person than I could have ever been on my own, I owe them much. This prayer is for them.

Every Mother's Prayer
I pray You'll be my eyes
And watch them where they go
And help them to be wise
Help me to let go

Every mother's prayer
Every child knows
Lead them to a place
Guide them with Your grace
To a place where they will be safe

I pray they find Your light
And hold it in their heart
As darkness falls each night
Remind them where You are

Every mother's prayer
Every child knows
Needs to find a place
Guide them with Your grace
Instill in them a true pure faith

Lead them to a place
Guide them with Your grace
To a place where they will be safe

A Mother's Day Tribute

This Mother's Day Tribute goes out to my sister Susan serving in Bagdad. Serving may not be the appropriate word. Serving is something you do as a duty to your country. My sister volunteered to go. Why would anyone put themselves in that kind of danger, for what? For her children, to ensure them a college education. Actually now that I think of it serving is an appropriate word to use when talking about my sister. Over the years she has served as special services to Army families, helping them adjust to Army life. She has served many functions at her church, served on a missions trip to Israel, been a girl scout leader and this is just to name a few. But the most amazing thing she has done by far is that she donated one of her kidney's to our young cousin, with a two year old. Her life has not been easy, but she is always there at just the right time. Now she may sound like a saint, but she will put you in your place and tell you like it is. We all need that sometimes. She is a true woman of valor, a woman of G*D.
G*D Bless You Susan, Come home safe. I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elizabeth
